Harper’s Fabric & Quilt Co meet & greet 04.08.2013

Last Friday, one of our local specialty fabric shops, Harper’s Quilt & Co hosted a little Designer Meet & Greet for us to introduce our debut fabric collection, Cream & Sugar. Those of you that have been following along on our crazy journey are probably well-aware of this and how thrilled we were to finally get to see our fabric designs in person! We had sewn lots of projects to help promote this new line, but those were all made with samples of the fabric, not the real deal. So walking in to Harper’s was our very first glimpse at the final product. The colors and quality of the fabric is amazing!!

So we just wanted to share a few pictures that we snapped from that day! Thank you to all of our family and friends who showed up. It means a lot to us. Also very cute to see Morgan’s husband be one of the first to actually buy a fat quarter of fabric. He says he’s going to make boxers. ha! So thank you to our supportive family and friends and thank you to Elaine and everyone at Harper’s for putting together such a beautiful display and being such gracious hosts!!!

Check out all the fun ideas for projects here!

See the Cream & Sugar designs online here and find a list of stores near you or online shops here!

trend watch: hexagons 04.02.2013

Move over mod circles and contemporary squares, there’s a new shape in town…welcome the hexagon! Quite interesting on it’s own and when partnered with others, it makes a honeycomb pattern that feels fresh and new! We are wanting hexagon-everything from home accessories to jewelry! And check out these two home shots where the main focus is our new favorite shape!

{honeycomb necklace, retro honeycomb pendant light, honeycomb card case, stacked hexagon rings, laquer hexagon tray, hive vase, Hello Honycomb notecards, honeycomb tile silk pillow} & {blue honeycomb rug from  Inside Out Magazine, April 2013 via brightbazaar.com and honeycomb shelves}

Kansas City friends, come by and say hi! 04.01.2013

We can hardly believe this day is here, but we are ecstatic to say that our very first fabric collection is in stores now!!! AND, get this, our favorite local fabric shop has offered to host us for a designer meet and greet this Friday! Harper’s Fabric & Quilt Co. in old Overland Park always has the greatest selection of fabrics for all of our craft projects, so we are pretty much flipping out that they will now be carrying our very own line!!! Want to know something else? Morgan took her very first sewing classes in the basement of Harper’s in 4th grade and Harper’s was Morgan’s mother’s first job! Harper’s was also located just a mile away from where Carrie grew up and she can still remember going there with her mom and sister as a kid! Talk about sentimental!

Needless to say, if you are local, we would love for every single one of our friends and readers to stop by and say hello and get the first glimpse at our Cream & Sugar collection! We’ll happily be rambling on about how much we love everything tea-related and can tell you all the details of each and every pattern creation!

This Friday, April 5th from 12pm-2pm

Harper’s Fabric & Quilt Co. , 7918 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS 66204.

Biggest thanks to Elaine and everyone at Harper’s for having us!

If you remember, we shared our love of these multipurpose patterned fabrics here! Combine that with one of our all time favorite illustrators and this is what you get! What a dream team!!

    I absolutely love the idea of wrapping a gift box with a scarf, and these scarves are so lovely! Happy Monday :)
