Introducing Lennon!!

Hi everyone! Morgan, here. I thought it was high time that I introduced my newest little bundle to you all! You might've noticed I've been a bit absent lately and that is because 6 weeks ago, on August 18th, my husband, Dan and I welcomed our second son, Lennon, to the world!! We are so in LOVE with this little guy!! He weighed 8lbs 70z (4 oz bigger than his brother) and 20 inches long. Lots of people warned us how crazy it is moving from one kid to two, but for us, this second time around is feeling much more relaxed. Granted, we aren't sleeping much (the little guy likes to eat frequently....all night long), but this time, we know it's just a short phase and each phase goes by so quickly. I was pretty crazy with our first son, constantly reading parenting books, websites and blogs. I endlessly researched every little thing that was going on with our baby, but this time, I just feel like we are enjoying the ride a bit more!

In addition to the ones you see here, I'm sharing a few of Lennon's newborn pictures over on 100 Layer Cakelet today, so make sure to hop over and say hello!

One thing that I had hoped for, but didn't know if it would happen, was a close bond between Shaw, my older son, and Lennon and this has way surpassed my dreams. Shaw is absolutely the sweetest, most caring big brother! He literally runs into Lennon's room to help me with every single diaper change. He wants to assist with getting Lennon in his car seat...and even will say to me, "Mom, make sure you get baby brother in first. Then me.". It's amazing. He wants to hold him, cuddle with him....Shaw even gets excited when I say it's time for Lennon to do "tummy-time". Shaw will lay on the floor next to him and clap when he lifts his head. Shaw frequently asks if his baby brother can sleep in his room with him...ah, if only Shaw could feed him every 2 hours, I'd take him up on that in a heartbeat! ha.

So, I'm not trying to say it's not crazy over here...because having two kiddos is definitely crazy and I most likely will never get anywhere on time again, but our house is filled with lots of love for this new little one! Pretty excited to introduce him to you all...welcome to the world, sweet Lennon!

I'm still working on Lennon's nursery, but I'll be sharing my style board of ideas soon and of course some pictures when it's all done! All photos you see here were taken by the talented Allison of Allison Corrin Photography. Visit her facebook page for all her updates here.
