Judging by the number of sales and number of admirers, we are the last two people in the world to have heard of this shop, so, we may be late, but we are jumping on the bandwagon!! candy airplane valentines 02.13.2013

This little craft is one that I remember from being a kid. My mom made these airplanes for us for some occasion and I guess I never forgot it. It is just as simple as can be. You just raid the candy aisle at the grocery store and assemble with a single rubber band. I printed little tags for them, but you could just as easily hand-write them or skip that step altogether. The only snag I had was that it was not as easy to find good ol’ Lifesavers in a roll as I assumed it would be. They didn’t have them at the first two places I went so I went from jumbo Smarties instead (which worked great because I could tie the little tags right onto the bunchy ends. happy thanksgiving 11.22.2012

Wow! What can we say? We are so truly grateful. From the silly things that make our day (coffee) to the reasons we get teary-eyed from sheer joy, we are fortunate beyond measure. Not a day passes that we don’t thank our lucky stars. We have loving family and friends backing us up and we’re overwhelmed by the support of so many people. on my mind: thanksgiving dinner 11.20.2012

Thanksgiving is just days away and I’m getting so excited to spend some time with family, some that I see often, and some traveling from afar to be here! I’ve been menu-planning with my mom and mother-in-law, scheduling the day (not always easy with a toddler and nap times), and basically just dreaming of getting to sit down at the Thanksgiving dinner table (times two in our case).
