8 Days a Week: thank you to Stephanie Patton 03.07.2014

When Stephanie approached us about sewing projects and said she had been working on baby and wedding quilts recently, we knew she would be a great fit! We had been hoping to have a baby quilt to go in our nursery photo shoot and we couldn’t have dreamed up one more charming than the chevron number Stephanie put together. We showed her an idea we were considering, and she made it look so much better than we’d imagined. We just love it! We only wish we had Stephanie’s sewing talent. When we asked if she had used a pattern, she just said that she “sketched it on the back of a scrap of paper and figured out dimensions.” She makes it sound so easy, but we know that it is definitely NOT. Definitely would not have been for us, so we can’t thank you enough, Stephanie! Can you please start selling these? So we can buy one (or many!)?

We feel like the quilt makes the whole nursery come to life. Wouldn’t this be a sweet gift for a new baby?

when it comes to decorating your home… 06.20.2013

When looking for pieces for your home, we feel like there’s no reason to go conservative! Why not have a little fun with home decor? Ya know, not everything needs to be neutral colors! We say, go bold or go home! We rounded up a few colorful pieces to add just that touch of fun that you’re looking for!

drawer pulls (chevron & facets)  // pop stool // pillow // dou african hamper // taxi salt & pepper shakers // wordsearch dish // chair // mixed print napkin set

trend watch: hexagons 04.02.2013

Move over mod circles and contemporary squares, there’s a new shape in town…welcome the hexagon! Quite interesting on it’s own and when partnered with others, it makes a honeycomb pattern that feels fresh and new! We are wanting hexagon-everything from home accessories to jewelry! And check out these two home shots where the main focus is our new favorite shape!

{honeycomb necklace, retro honeycomb pendant light, honeycomb card case, stacked hexagon rings, laquer hexagon tray, hive vase, Hello Honycomb notecards, honeycomb tile silk pillow} & {blue honeycomb rug from  Inside Out Magazine, April 2013 via and honeycomb shelves}

    I love that baby blanket, but I’m not a baby, and I don’t have a baby. I’d still get it for somethin’.

      Jane! We are with you. We just want that blanket for ourselves! Plus, if there’s no baby involved, you don’t have to worry about spit-up. ha!
