house & home: under the stairs ideas 01.17.2012

>

Aaaand THIS is why we love Pinterest! There are SO many great ideas for any possible project you might be working on….it’s just one little search away. We are working on turning the space under our stairs into something a little more special than. well, just that space under the stairs….and with one little search (“under stairs”) on Pinterest, all of these great tidbits of inspiration came up! We are turning our space into a reading nook….but I hadn’t thought of a bathroom, hidden shelved, or needless to say, a bed!

print & pattern: polyhedron angles 01.12.2012

>

Loving these mutli-faceted angles!! Whether it’s a true polehedron shape like this awesome wooden pendant or just a pattern reminiscent of one like this charcoal and cream woven rug, we think they are a cool way to get some structured pattern into your home. What do you think?

    >I totally agree. And I love having subtle references to other pieces in a room…so I'd probably use both of these in one space! Lovely lovely lovely. Love your guys' blog!

on the lookout: throw pillows 01.09.2012

>

Decorative pillows are a great way to give a burst of energy to  a room without spending a lot. I found myself gravitating towards neutrals and saturated warm colors. There are so many fun graphic and global prints out there right now. Decisions…
