pattern peek: megan of mimi + megan 06.18.2012

Hi everyone! We hope you all had a great weekend and did a lot of spoiling of the Father’s in your lives! They deserve a proper celebration, right?

We’re kicking off the week with the most recent edtiion to our new favorite feature, a Pattern Peek by one of our dearest friends, Megan, who just happens to be a total rockstar blogger, artist, and entrepreneur, not to mention she’s fab at consulting! Take it away, Meg:
As you can see I love black & white, especially black & white patterns. So here’s a little peek into my closet:

1. Lines: This tank I got a few years ago and it has become a staple in my wardrobe. It’s perfect over leggings and I wear it all the time!

2. Dots: This is a dot/animal print pattern on a silk blouse. It surprisingly has poofy sleeves, but I loved the pattern too much to care.

3. Tribal: A new tank I recently got purchased that I will probably be wearing all summer long.

Pattern Peek: House of Earnest 05.25.2012

We are excited to be wrapping up the week with one last pattern peek from Erin of House of Earnest! House of Earnest is brimming with inspiration for home, handmade projects and party style. We could (and do) spend hours on Erin’s site because there is just so much goodness to take in! We love seeing a little glimpse into Erin’s own home and we weren’t surprised to see her cool style showing through in the photos she sent. Here’s Erin’s take on the patterns shown above:

Photo #1: Graphic pillow on sheepskin.  I made this pillow from a Target napkin and couldn’t be happier.  Sometimes when you’ll looking for something specific, you just have to get creative!

Photo#2: My Master bedroom textiles.  Serene, not too feminine, and neutral.

Photo #3: My guest bedroom textiles.  Various yellows are grounded by metallic bronze accents.

Special thanks to Tobe of Because It’s Awesome for sharing a little peek into the patterns in her world because she was also headed out of town to NYC. Can you get any more thoughtful? And just wow! Don’t these little snippets of pattern make you want to see the rest of the house? She just moved not too long ago and is madly decorating and we’d say she’s well on her way to a magazine-feature-worthy-home!!!

Pattern Peek: Made by Soda Pop 05.22.2012

Coming to you today while we’re off in NYC is Dayle Bennett of Made by Soda Pop. Dayle blogs and makes beautiful jewelry and accessories in Atlanta, Georgia.
