our work: lillybit uptown diaper clutch 08.16.2011

>

We’re excited to share one of our recent jobs: the Lillybit Uptown Diaper Clutch! We were fortunate to get connected awhile back to another two-gal business duo here in Kansas City who have a line of chic diaper bags. Their diaper clutch is perfect for toting a few diapers, some wipes and other small essentials…times when you don’t want to haul around your whole big diaper bag. Plus, it looks just like a stylish little purse. Now that we’re both moms, we can appreciate the need for such an accessory! Anyway, they needed some surface patterns for their new bags and that’s where we came in (have we mentioned that designing patterns is our favorite kind of work?). We’ve created several fun patterns for their new line including the one shown above which is the first of our prints for them. This particular black and gray damask bag is especially exciting because it is has been selected by Pampers as one of their “Gifts to Grow” items. This means that if you collect your Pampers points by saving the codes from any Pampers product you purchase and then enter that info on the Pampers.com website, you can redeem them for the damask clutch! This is actually the first gift in the Pampers program that is just for moms (most items are for babies and kids) so start saving those points for early September when it gets added to the Pampers site.

art & design: callie thompson 08.15.2011

>

I discovered the work of Austin-based artist, Callie Thompson, in the West Elm catalog of all places. A few of her pieces were hanging on walls above furniture in photos from the most recent issue. Her works on paper are gorgeous and she also has a new line of textiles. Bonus: she has an etsy shop where you can purchase either. The second photo is from habit of art, which has a nice interview with Callie about her process.

pretty package: Absolution skincare 08.12.2011

>

Isn’t this packaging for the French Skincare line, Absolution, totally amazing? We fell in love with the black and white patterns immediately! After further research,  come to find out it’s also total eco-friendly: the packaging is all made from recycled materials and printed with soy-based inks! Tres Chic!

on the lookout: missoni for target 08.11.2011

>

Just in case you hadn’t heard, come September 13, the Missoni for Target line will be released!! ( I will be the first one in line at the Target front door, rest assured)! Twenty images of the collection were just leaked and we are sharing some of them here, but it’s only leaving us wanting more, more, MORE! So, good thing Target is actually going to be carrying about 400 pieces of this line–it practically touches all departments! There will be bedding, dishes, pillows, baby stuff, clothing including swimwear, luggage and the list goes on…not to mention the bike! Ahhh, the bike-how cool is that? Anyway…let the countdown begin!

    >I keep seeing posts like this and it just makes me so sad we don't have a target in Canada! I'm thinking a trip to the states is definitely in order
