trend watch: hexagons 04.02.2013

Move over mod circles and contemporary squares, there’s a new shape in town…welcome the hexagon! Quite interesting on it’s own and when partnered with others, it makes a honeycomb pattern that feels fresh and new! We are wanting hexagon-everything from home accessories to jewelry! And check out these two home shots where the main focus is our new favorite shape!

{honeycomb necklace, retro honeycomb pendant light, honeycomb card case, stacked hexagon rings, laquer hexagon tray, hive vase, Hello Honycomb notecards, honeycomb tile silk pillow} & {blue honeycomb rug from  Inside Out Magazine, April 2013 via brightbazaar.com and honeycomb shelves}

trend watch: window pane pattern 01.29.2013

we love patterns and we love trends. so when we see a trend pattern emerging, we so love to share it! What do you think of this window pane look? It’s not necessarily a plaid, and it’s not necessarily Mondrion-inspired, it’s just doing it’s own super-simple, straightforward thing. It’s a graphic, bold, grid. Perfect and exact. Whether in a classic or unique color combo, we have a crush on window pane patterns.

{Links clockwise from upper left: j. crew Silk boy shirt in windowpane, kate spade berry street alissa bag, rag & bone ‘Lorie” windowpane dress, white & grey windowpane throw, black & white patent leather platform, kate spade berry street lacey clutch }

trend watch: holographic 12.30.2012

New Year’s Eve parties are just two days away, so what better time is there to embrace the holographic trend than right now? that’s right, we’re seeing metallics taken to a whole new level….silver and gold aren’t going to cut it any more, it’s time to take your metallics to a futuristic level! Call it hologram or holographic, this look seems to be popping up everywhere, and when done in moderation, we think it could be a pretty fun one to embrace! What do you guys think?

{1. Stella McCartney holographic faux leather ipad sleeve,  2. Stella McCartney holographic faux leather clutch,  3. Deena & Ozzy Electro Oxford, 4. holographic head to toe, 5. holographic leggings)

    Blue+black is such a chic combo! I feel like it’s a frowned-up combination, kinda like brown+black, but rules were meant to be broken.. right?? :)
