loving: link collective furoshiki 08.17.2012
We love a product that does double (and triple…) duty, especially when it’s beautifully designed. Perfect example: furoshikis by Link Collective. “Furoshiki” is Japanese traditional wrapping cloth. How Link describes it: “It can be used in multiple ways, for bundling or gift-wrapping all sorts of things. We think this particular lighter-weight furoshiki works well for more delicate wrapping and perfectly as a scarf, and it softens up the more you wear and wash it. One simple and beautiful piece of cloth and the list is endless. Tie it and see!” The beautiful designs are printed on 100% cotton satin by hand using traditional Japanese printing techniques. The leather strap you see pictured above where the furoshiki is transformed into a purse is also available on the Link Collective etsy shop and can be added without damaging the fabric in any way! What a great gift (for someone else OR yourself).

What a beautiful scarf!! I love the first one! I also really like how you found new ways to use all of the scarves.
I think Betsy, at bon bon atelier is going to give a fabric wrapping class sometime in October or November. Very similar to this stuff, but with fabric or scarves. We should all attend!
