The Ampersand + Happy Habitat collection!!

When we were first dreaming up Ampersand and what we wanted to do if we had our own company, it was all about putting happy, beautiful, high-quality goods out in to this world....add in some of our base ethics of being kind to our environment and collaborating with good people... and this collaboration is basically our dream project!

Yes!!! We got to collaborate with our friend, Karrie, and put our patterns & colors on one of our favorite products, her Happy Habitat eco-cotton throw blankets!

Pretty excited to share this collection with you all!! We hope you love them!!

Wanna know more about the material?

Recycled cotton is created from pre-consumer fibers and clippings that are collected after the cut and sew process, so new pieces that would otherwise be discarded get a second life. Our fibers are OKEO-TEX Certified.

Environmental benefits to using recycled cotton are:

  • reduction in incinerator and landfill use, but reprocessing pre-consumer textile waste.

  • recycled cotton fibers for yarn spinning require no new dyeing, saving water and adding no new pollutants.

  • the simplified manufacturing process reduces energy and resource use.

  • recycled cotton requires no land use, intensive water irrigation, and no new fertilizers or pesticides.

but wait, there's more!! we didn't forget the littles!! We also dreamed up two mini blankets for the kiddos!! we are already anxious to see these in your big kid's room or as the most fun tummy-time blanket for your babe!
